Why might a person get "too drunk" for the amount of alcohol they drank?!

Question: Why might a person get "too drunk" for the amount of alcohol they drank!?
Obviously it is known that if you mix pills and alcohol you get really messed up really fast, and it is also known that if you don't eat you can get too drunk a lot faster than you would otherwise!. Well I ate yesterday, and I didn't take any pills of any sort, was relatively well rested etc etc!. So why was I dizzy and sick after only three drinks!. Usually I can drink at least five or six before I would even call myself drunk!. Last night I could have sworn the first drink did me in!. I mixed the drinks myself at home, so no, they were not laced!. Any ideas why I got so drunk!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your metabolism can have something to do with it!. Sometimes our bodies speed up for different reasons (stress, morning time, after we eat)!. If your metabolism is working at maximum speed you may get the hit quite fast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
