Why did Morgan David change the name of the wine to
MD 20/20. And what does the MD stand for where you come from?

Mogan David didn't change the name. Mogan David has always had two brands: Mogan David (kosher wine) and a more fortified, low-cost, flavored version called M/D 20/20. Where I come from, the MD stands for "Much Dumber," which is how you feel after drinking MD 20/20.
It's actually Mogan David, and it means "Star of David" in Hebrew.
Where I'm from, it stands for Mad Dog.
He changed the name probably because it was easier to say when you have had a few pops....
We always called it Mad Dog 20/20. We also used to have races to see who could drink them down the fastest. One of our friends could actually drink a bottle of MD 20/20 faster than you could pour one out.....
And they still have the same name for their wine - MD 20/20 is their wine that has been reinforced with more alcohol, up to 20% (MD is also called Mad Dog)
Where I'm from it also stands for MADD DOGG, and thats what you feel like after you drink it !
