Do I have to refrigerate wine after opening it??!

Question:

Do I have to refrigerate wine after opening it??

Answers:
Just re-cork it, but it won't keep forever. You should just finish the bottle....

phhhh! no!

nope just cork it really well

no. wine can be left out for a very long time it's alright to leave it out

No it does not have to be refrigerated but you might want to if it is white wine.

White wine: Yes

Red wine: No

white wine should be refridgerated.
Red Wine you can leave out, tightly corked for up to 3 days and no longer.

well the warmer the room temp.the wine alcohol level goes it u will tend to smell the alcohol in the wine, and the cooler the room the wine tends to taste dull. Its good for red wines to be stored around 55 degree. But you do not want to store you wine for any long length of time at room temp because of the aging process of wine,You will end up cooking the bottle and robbing the wine of its aroma and flavor. One rule of thumb do not ever!!serve a wine in a 70 dgree temp or higher.hopes this helps.

It depend on what type of whine you have.

Do you *have* to? No
Does it 'keep' a little longer if you do? Yes.

.

Depends on how long before you finish the bottle. If you are planning on keeping it overnight, yes you can refrigerate it - it will stay fresher. If you have one of the co2 dispensers that would be better or one of the pumps that remove the oxygen (worst thing for wine) and caps it then that would be great. Remember wine will lose it's fruitiness within a day or two but will be still drinkable just not as good as when opened. Refrigeration adds to the life of the opened wine (be sure to recork it)

You dont have do it with red wine but white wine has to be chilled

White wine tastes better served between 9-14 C and champagne is best between 6-10 C but the temperature you choose to drink it at is up to you, it will not damage the wine to be unrefrigerated.
