Why is beer pasteurised at the end of the brewing process, but wine isn't?!

Question: Why is beer pasteurised at the end of the brewing process, but wine isn't!?
Answers:
Only beer in bottles and cans is pasteurized!. Beer kegs are not!. It is pasteurized because there is not enough alcohol to ward off bactria!. Typically has a high enough content that is not needed but some wine usually under 14% aalcohol can be either heat pasteurized or cold pasteurized by passing it through microscopic filters before bottlingWww@FoodAQ@Com

Not all beer is pasteurized!. There are many beers that are real ale (google CAMRA)!. In my opinion, these real ales taste so much better than pasteurized!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
