First off, it isn't illegal to purchase absinthe!.!.!. it isn't illegal to own absinthe!. It was illegal to sell absinthe!. As of early 2007 some absinthe has been legalized in the US!. You can pick up Lucid at most liquor store!. It was designed by T!.A!. Breaux the worlds leading expert in absinthe!. He developed the formula by reverse engineering vintage bottles he purchased at estate sales in France!.
Now, if you're looking to purchase it for the hallucinogenic effect!.!.!. again don't bother!. It is a myth!. Absinthe doesn't and has never caused you to see little green fairies!. The whole idea that it did was a smear campaign by the French wine industry when their sales started to slump because of the popularity of the drink in the late 1800's!. It was later picked up by The Temperance Movement here in the US and has been a persistent rumor!.!.!. but nothing else!. Remember those vintage bottles I mentioned above!? The same guy did chemical testing on them to prove once and for all that absinthe never actually did anything but get you really, really drunk!.
