Nasty thing in a week-old empty beer can. What is it?!

Question: Nasty thing in a week-old empty beer can!. What is it!?
There are these things in my old (two-week old) beer cans that are gross and nasty!. Most of the time they are somewhat circular and it looks like mucus (snot) or an olive!.

I don't drink every last drop out of a beer can and it forms into this!. What in the heck is it!? It grosses me out when I empty the beer cans and give them to my dad for recycling!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Usually, this is a mold that grows from the ingredients used in making beer!.

Generally, it is not harmful, just yucky!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It could be dead slugs - but only if you've left them outside (maybe in your recycle bin)!. Slugs love beer, but unfortunately, they drown when they get in to it :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com
