In fact if they are plastic the big news item of the day is NOT to go overboard on the hot water used to clean plastic bottles and nipples and other baby items that will go into their mouths due to studies showing intense heat will release chemicals in the plastic!. They are recommending not to use the dishwasher for every cleaning!. Simply washing in hot, soapy water and rinsing thoroughly (usually with cold water to ensure you get all the soap off) is more than sufficient!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
