What is the optimal tempurature to store red wine?!

Question:

What is the optimal tempurature to store red wine?

Answers:
You need a constant temperature and a dark and vibration free environment. With regard to temperature you have some choice. Most experts suggest 65F or below. Since red wine should be served at 65F that is a good choice. Another choice is 53-55F which is the serving temperature for most white wines. The cooler the longer the wine will hold and the slower it will develop. I use 53F (but I have a lot of wine and I don't want faster maturity) and it has worked perfectly for 20 years.
