For the people that quit smoking, how did you resist the urge when you drink????!

Question:

For the people that quit smoking, how did you resist the urge when you drink????

Answers:
1> I stayed away from bars that allowed indoor smoking
2> In the back of my head I always thought "if I have ONE drag, that would mean I'll have to start this quitting thing all over from square one again, and it's a ***** to start at the beginning again.

Be proud of every day that you're able to say NO.
The craving will go down (may never go 100% away).
You'll feel so much better about yourself when you wake up in the AM knowing you didn't cave.

Oh...
I found my hangovers much more managable when I didn't smoke as compaired to when I did smoke. It's like smoking made the hangovers so much worse.

Haven't made it that far yet, but maybe I'll let you know when I find out.

Don't drink either. Or at least until you are use to not smoking completely.

I stopped 2years ago
I still reach for my shirt pocket.
But I have always disliked the taste in my mouth.
The stink in my house and on my clothes,, not t mention burn holes in my clothes
When I started smokes were only 25 cents a pack from the vending machine.
But you could buy the carton for less ???
what are they now $4.00+/pack??

I don't, I always smoke when i drink!

Best of both worlds......I quit drinking

I replaced my urgest with sex...if I got uppity..in the bedroom I went. I lost weight and had a better relationship with hubby just because I wanted to quit
