Answers:
yes through the court of masters!. the level 1 is a 2 day class that moves FAST!. all the answers are in the class and you can pass!. I learned the ceritfied test is HARD and I plan to pass the second time around!. It's just a test and you need to learn the info on your own ( the book they give you in the first class helps alot) I'm a bartender at the Bellagio and I think the pay scale of a sommelier put you into 6 digits!. plus now I can weed out wine snobs from buIIshiters!.
tips: study regions and the varietals grown there
use flash cards
tape your readings from books and listen to them as you fall to sleep
learn first growths and gran crus
