If I put food coloring in punch with dry ice, will the fog be okay?!

Question:

If I put food coloring in punch with dry ice, will the fog be okay?

Im putting food coloring in fruit punch with dry ice for a party, will the fog still be clear or red?

Answers:
The fog you talk about is just carbon dioxide in the gas form and will be white/clear. The dry ice is carbon dioxide in the solid form and is perfectly harmless.
When dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) is put into a warm temperature like air or water it starts to change form to the vapor form of carbon dioxide and will not pick up any color etc.

Yes. Dry ice is made of CO2 and it's not reactive to any chemicals. The CO2 is used to make soda anyways and soda companies don't have a problem with it.

yea it will be fine

it will be fine and clear. The only way it could be dangerous is if you are in an enclose place and the CO2 concentration is too high, then you would pass out of hipoxia and die.

Dry ice is a dirty substance. You shouldn't put it in a drink.
