Is it better to home brew beer in plastic or glass?!

Question: Is it better to home brew beer in plastic or glass!?
I am looking at what kit to buy of craigslist!. one is plastic and costs 60 the other cost 100 and is glass with both a 3 gallon and a 5 gallon!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I use both!. My beer usually gets 2 weeks in plastic and then gets racked to a glass carboy for secondary fermentation!. The advantages of the plastic buckets are that they are light, unbreakable in normal use, and you can get into them to clean them!. Disadvantages are that they can get scratched, making cleaning tougher, and that they pick up the aromas of the hops!. I get around this by having separate primary fermenters for wine and for beer (as well as one I use only for sanitizing soaks)!.

I'd suggest starting with the plastic and haunting flea markets for glass carboys!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get glass! It is easier to clean and sanitize!. Plastic scratches and stuff sticks to it!. You will have to replace it soon!. I've been using the same glass carboys for a decade!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Glass is the best but plastic is fine!.

I used plastic when i first brewed!. The gas causes it expand!. Glass doesn't expand and seems to carbonate the best!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Glass is the only right choice!!
Anything put in plastic absorbs odors and contaminates!.
DO THE GLASS!!
Will you have a beer tasting party!?
I would love to try your beer!!
Happy Brewing!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
