Which alcoholic beverage is more potent? Like between Whiskey and Vodka?!

If you take an avrage brand of Whisky like Jack Daniels and avrage brand of vodka like Smirnoff Red!.!.!.!.they are about equally potent!. They are both 80 proof liquors ( 40% alcohol)!. But everybodies body chemistry is different so you may get different types of buzz'es from different liquors!. I am the same way!.!.!.!.i feel more drunk from vodka than from whisky!.
That being said there are different types of whiskies and vodkas which are higher proof like Wilde Turkey 101 which is a 101 proof whisky and Smirnoff Blue which is a 100 proof vodka!. So Smirnoff Blue vodka is more potent than Jack Daniels whiskey while Wild Turkey 101 is more potent than Smirnoff Red vodka!.

Alcohol is based on proof!. If it is a 100 proof that means that the content is 50%Alcohol !. So 200 proof would be 100%Alcohol !. 80 proof is 40% !.Alcohol The proof devided by 2 is the percentage of alcohol!. Every kind is going to have a different proof so you must check the bottle!. It depends on what kind of vodka or whiskey your talking they all go by different proofs !.For instance if your booze contains 40% ALC!.!.buy volume it would be 80 proof!. Look on the bottle it will tell you!. It seems that vodka seems to affect people different from whiskey don't know why,that's why I stay away from it!.(lol)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depending on what type of whiskey it can vary from 80 proof and up!. Standard vodka is around 80 proof!. They are many other contributing factors that can affect you such as how much you ate, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
