Riesling Suggestion?!

Question: Riesling Suggestion!?
Could someone recommend a very sweet riesling!? Not super expensive, but not something that comes in a cardboard box!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Pick a German Riesling with Spatlese on the label, this is a later harvest grape, thereby having higher sugar content!. It will usually make a sweeter, fuller bodied Riesling!.

This way if you don't know for sure, just look for a German Riesling, Spatlese, and it should be nice and sweet!. Stay away from Australian Rieslings as they tend to be a lot drier and not as sweet!. I've heard South African Rieslings are really good, but in my opinion, it's a German wine, and they take their alcohol very serious!. I have never had a bad German Riesling, no matter how cheap or expensive, just good Rieslings, and better Rieslings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not exactly sure what you would have available to you at your local shops but here are two suggestions on wineries to look for!. They use the same clone of Riesling grapes as the winery owners are all from one family!.

1!. Weingut St!. Urbans-Hof, Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Germany

2!. Cave Spring Cellars, Jordan, Ontario, Canada

These two wineries make a wide variety of Rieslings, all of which are amazing and very reasonably priced!. Don't worry - no cardboard boxes here!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know where you live or what is available at stores around you by here in Michigan, Grand Traverse Reisling is very sweet and smooth!. We love it! See if you can get a hold of this brand!. It will be in a bottle and is REAL wine!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like Graff!.
If you could afford the one with the dark orange label( about 22!.00)!.
Otherwise the Blue label or the Green label are both nice( less then $15!.00)!.
Perfect sweetness( the orange label is the sweetest)!.

You'll love this stuff!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My wife and I bought several cases of Fetzer Reisling for or wedding reception and still get it every year!. It is not very expensive, but we recommend it highly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
