Looking for a bottle of nice tequila?!

Question:

Looking for a bottle of nice tequila?

I would like to buy a bottle of nice tequila for a business associate. Probably between $40-$100. Can someone recommend something great?

Answers:
OH MY GOODNESS!!! Milagro Silver Tequila is the best, very smooth. Kinda hard to find, but is definately in your price range. If you ask your liquor store, they can probably order it for you.

Also Patron Silver is a close second if you can't find Milagro.

Stay away from rosados, YUK!

This should please your business associate, especially if they are an avid tequila drinker.

I have about 8 of them on top of my fridge, you're welcome to them. LOL
Have a friend that goes home to Mexico twice a year and always brings us some back, we just don't drink it that much.

how about patron?

Patron is good, also good is tres generaciones !!!

Patron is nice and should be in that range depending on where you live.

Don Julio, much better than Patron, just doesn't have the name recognition like Patron, and it is usually the same price.

try jose cuervo tequila

Go to this site, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. The last one listed sounds interesting. (The little yellow box tells you what it was rated. I've never seen anything rated at 100.) AND, it's a lot less than the range you're willing to pay.

Patron is cheapest.. cant go wrong with don julio! its one of the best.

Well there's a few. If you want a great Tequila you'll want to buy a super premium tequila. Do not buy a cheap tequila.

Tequila Distinguido is a good one. It feels light on the tongue, with a sweetness that turns spicy fast. Made of 100% agave and aged up to three years in oak barrels, it's dry, quick-to-finish and works nicely in cocktails. It's about $55.

Tezón Tequila is a new super-premium brand. Other than the cool looking bottle one thing that makes Tezón unique is the use of the "tahona process" -- basically a tahona wheel, made of a couple tons of volcanic stone, crushes the pre-roasted agave (a.k.a. maguey cactus) to make the tequila. Compared to some of the other tequilas its smoother. In case you forget what makes this tequila so special, they've created hieroglyphic-like symbols on the bottle itself that tell the story of the production: A metal plate shows an agave plant, fire, the tahona stone and wavy lines that we believe signify the end product. Even the cork itself is part of the story: It is shaped like a miniature tahona. Cost is about $50.

Nothing better than Casa Noble!

"Casa Noble Superior Tequilas

All made from 100% Blue Agave

Casa Noble ultra premium tequilas begin as carefully selected individual 10 year old plants of Blue Agave. Each one must meet the strict requirements for water and sugar content. We slow-cook them for 38 hours in stone ovens.

Then, using only the core and hearts of the agaves, we extract their robust juice. The fermentation process is 100% natural, followed by a triple distillation. The result is a tequila so pure and full of agave flavor that it has elevated the concept of tequila to new levels around the world."

"Casa Noble Tequila Produced and Bottled in Mexico. 40% Alc/Vol (80 Proof). 100% Blue Agave."

I personally recommend Don Sergio. A bottle goes for about $47.99, I've tried many different brands (Patron, Don Eduardo, Don Julio, Herradure, etc.) and I'd say none of them compare to this one.
