Question:

Can drinking lots of water cause a headache???

Answers:
I've heard that some people can have this reaction. Lessen down the water that are you are drinking. If it keeps up you should see doctor because there might be something seriously wrong.

yes it can.

i dont think so

I don't think so unless you drink gallons of water at one time.

Only if it's ice cold, you've just come in from the heat and you drink it really fast!

It is possible, drinking to much can even cause death. No kidding it is called water poison.

I have gotten headaches from drinking lots of really cold water quickly. If you drink WAY too much water you can even die from water intoxication like that lady from the radio contest in California.

Yes it can, drink 3 litres of water quickly and you not only get a head ache but you will die an agonizing death because the water depletes the minerals in your body so when running a Marathon drink your water slowly and drink just enuf to stop you dehydrating

How much water are you drinking? One should drink half of there body weight in water a day. Water cleanses your system of antioxidants and also helps with weight loss. I have never heard of drinking too much water, that it would cause a headache to occur. If it is ice cold water and it is drank very quickly it could be possible. What it comes down to is water is very important for your body to function properly.

I don't think so, water is good for our body. It cleans and detoxify...Even if you keep on drinking water, the only next thing that you will do is you keep peeing... water in...water out... that's about it.

Yes it can.Over hydration also known as water toxification not only strips the body of minerals but causes sever swelling of the tissues in the body which can have many effects on the body from abnormal urination to death ( death is with large amounts in a short time ).It is now recommended to drink 1/2 of your body weight in water a day i.e. 180 pound person should drink 90 ounces or 11 1/4 glasses of water a day.

Don't know about the headache, but you can actually get "woozey" drinking too much water...

Yes, it can cause a headache if you drink too much too quickly, especially if it's mixed with something :). Moderation with anything is key.

No it is the other way round. Whenever a headache strikes drink lots of water .Lack of oxygen may have lead to your headache. Place a few ice-cubes in a polythene bag, and apply this on the forehead and temples. Check out http://useinfo-headache.blogspot.com/... for more info

no, only if you drink it while being hung over.
