How do you measure the amout of beer left in a beer keg??!

Question:

How do you measure the amout of beer left in a beer keg??

OK serious question..we have 4 bars in the hotel..we kind of estimate the volume by lifting the keg..there has got to be a tool that enables someone to tell exactly how much beer is left in a keg?? Any Ideas. You could find out the weight of an empty one and extrapolate of course..but I'm looking for a $5 tool that measures the exact amount

Answers:
If the keg is chilled, you can move it to an unrefrigerated spot and wait for the condensation to form. The condensation goes only as far up as the beer.

I'm assuming you want to do so for inventory control. Weight is the only way I have ever hear of it being done. I don't remember the exact numbers, but you can weigh a full keg, and weigh an empty keg, and divide the number of beers a keg has in it. You can use a bathroom scale to estimate closely.

I did a quick search, and they sell a product (more than $5) that does the same for you.

best bet is to weigh it or do tap test on side outher then that not much you can do

i don't know

a thermometer

just knock on the side of the keg. it will sound hollow until you knock on the part that is still full.
