How many beers to get officially drunk?!

Question:

How many beers to get officially drunk?

According to the law in my Costa Rica a man is about to be officially drunk with a concentration of 0.05% alcohol in his blood. What is the average number of beers that will cause that concentration if the volume of alcohol in each beer is 4.5% per volume.

Answers:
You need to add in the weight of the person, it effects the answer. The limit is different for California (.08%), but maybe the charts they have will be of use to you.

P.S. for the person that thought 10 "because I have never been drunk" should look at the chart!

it takes me 10 to get dizzy...i cant say how many more to get drunk, cuz i've never been drunk, just dizzy...

In the USA its .08%.

4.5% is pretty weak. Depending on your body type and gender, I would say it would take 2-3 to reach the legal level of Costa Rica. More like 4-5 to feel slightly drunk. And it depends on the time timeframe. If its over a full night, then you'll be fine. But if your chugging them down in a short period, it will hit you faster.

Good luck and dont drive.

2 beers in an hour, will give the average sized male an over .08%bac, which is the limit for driving most places in the U.S.

I would estimate 1-1.5 12 oz beers in an hour would give an average sized male a .05 or higher.

for me? 400000000000000000000000000000...

depends on body weight and metabolism. general rule of thumb, 2.

it's a matter of your resistance to alcohol. me for example, last St. Patty's day I went through 15 Heinekens and wasn't completely gone, I was buzzed yeah, but I still was aware of my surroundings and who I was with, where I was, etc.

it depends on you. its not the same for everyone

one bourbon, one scotch, one beer
