Answers:
think i'm gonna be sick! if it wasnt bad enough reading the previous couple of answers (LOL) then having watched the cook at our day centre annihilate some pies (they had been steamed but she then decided they needed browning in the oven for 2 HOURS!!!!) i think i will forgo any pies for quite a while my answer would have been buy them ready made and frozen in the supermarket and make do with that! I've eaten it and as a pastry chef of long standing guess that the recipe is one part lard (1kg) to two parts plain flour (2kg)with addition of water (1!.2lt)!.Mixed then rolled The filling seems to consist of plain boiled poor quality mince!.One guy once told me that the recipe for the liquor was the potato skins boiled ,salt and chopped parsley!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
My friend once worked in a pie and mash shop, she got her finger trapped in the pastry roller! (She had a flat finger for a while)!. It's just pastry and mince meat (beef)!. I cant tell you the secret of the liquor though!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.OK it's parsley!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
