The ingredient 'hops', can it be consumed by a muslim?!

Question:

The ingredient 'hops', can it be consumed by a muslim?

as hops acts as 1 of the important ingredients of producing wine/beer... (for taste and aroma purposes) therefore it should be not halal.. is it true?

Answers:
More specifically; hops, an aromatic flower, are forbidden by Halal. Many people use hops to brew tea, and I suppose it's possible (tho' I've never heard of it) to use them as an herbal seasoning. However you use them, they have a mild natural sedative effect, so as a before-bed nightcap, hops tea can be excellent.

i dont know, inject them with it asnd find out what happens

This is a vegetable used to cut the sweetness of beer. It is only a flavoring. Most of the main flavor comes from the strain of yeast used.

It also may be forbidden by some Muslim sects. Some have suggested that tomatoes and cucumbers be separated in store displays in Baghdad because the vegetables "are different sexes."

Hops are a flower used primarily as a flavoring and stability agent in beer, as well as in herbal medicine.

But if a Muslim wanted to use them to cure some naturally it would be considered halal or if he wanted to taste one! Its only if they consumed the flower when it is consumed through alcohol usage!

muslims can and do drink it whether there religion tells them to or not all you do is open your mouth poor it down swallow

Hops are not alcoholic

and as for hops being an "important ingredients of producing beer", well so are water and wheat. Are you suggesting muslims shouldn't dring water or eat bread either?

Hops are not used in making wine.
