Champange....unopened, how long does it stay good??!

Question:

Champange....unopened, how long does it stay good??

Answers:
In general you should uncork the bubbly within 3 years of the vintage date for "best" flavor, unlike most reds that get more complex with age champagne is good to go as soo as you buy it.
If you want to store your champagne that is OK but try to put it in a cool (50-55 f) dark place.

Kept in the proper conditions, forever.

Champagne, unlike wine, does not age gracefully due to it's high content of carbonation. But it has a remarkably long shelf life if the seal is strong. 5 years maximum.

forever actually with alch. the longer it sits the more $$$$$ it costs!!!!!!

just keep it in a dark, dry spot!

Should keep indefinately, if kept laid down in a cool dark cellar....

To maintain its "zest" and carbonation, I would say by the end of the evening that it's opened, UNLESS you have a "stopper" for it. Then you can stick it in the fridge and I would finish it off by the end of the next day.
My two cents.
OOPS... saw the question again... "UNOPENED". hmmm... ya got me there.
