Rule of thumb: the spicier the food, the heavier a wine you need - so the taste of the food doesn't overpower the taste of the wine!.

My favorite red inexpensive red wines are from [yellow tail], an Australian wine !.!.!.!.!.!. In this age of big business, we're proud to say [yellow tail] remains a family endeavor!.
It all began way back in 1820s when the first Casellas began crafting wine in Italy!. Over a century later, in 1951, Filippo Casella and his wife Maria decided to leave their homeland to pursue their hopes and dreams of a better life in Australia!. Recognizing the potential of his new surroundings, Filippo purchased a farm in the small town of Yenda, New South Wales, and did what came naturally!. He began selling grapes to local wineries, and by 1969 decided it was time to put his own wine making skills to use!.!.!. and the Casella winery was born!. Generally speaking, for good inexpensive wines, I stick to imports!. While the US has plenty of good inexpensive wines, I find that it is much more of a gamble as there are a lot of really poor cheap wines that no one would bother importing or exporting!.
Most good inexpensive wines tend to be medium bodied with good acid balance to better match with food!. I'm personally very fond of Barbera D'Alba from Italy which can range from $10 per bottle on up!. This can be found in many supermarkets and nearly every wine shop!. The inexpensive versions are easy to drink and match food exceptionally well!.
If you have trouble getting your hands on this, Parducci is a widely available American producer!. They make a very good Zinfandel and Petite Syrah at less than $15!.00 per bottle!. But stay away from their other reds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

that's such a subjective question!. what do you like best about a red wine!? big, bold reds!? subtle, dry reds!? there can be countless answers to this!. check out wine spectator magazine if you want professional opinions!. they rate wines and give you price ranges and availability!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
