Question: Numbness from wine drinking!?
I'm 5'4 and 112 lbs!. and just had one glass of red wine!. I feel numb, especially my lips and legs, plus I'm lightheaded!. Is this normal!? Oh, my fingers are very numb too, I'm surprised I can type this well!. Am I just a lightweight or what!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Before I would call you a lightweight, I would ask you what you have had to eat today and when was the last time that you ate!? If it was hours ago and if you did not eat a lot today, than it is more likely that your body just needs some food more than you being a lightweight!. You are basically my height, although I do weigh more than you, but it should take more than one glass of wine to make you feel lightheaded!. Of course, if you have not ate much today or if your last meal was a while ago, that would explain it!.

The other thing you could look at is what the alcohol percentage is on that bottle of wine you poured the glass from!. If it is above 14!.5%, than it is considered to be a high alcohol wine and that will hit you faster than a wine that is between 10% and 15%!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some people are allergic to the sulphides (sp!? sulphites) in wine!.
That could be why!. Reds naturally have more than whites and then more are added as a preservatives!.

Or, you are a lightweight and are just drunk!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

you sound like a skinny person!. unless you have an eating disorder , you are probably allergic to wine!. sorry!. i hope you dont really have an eating disorder!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
