Well The Suprema is a ultra-anejo, meaning an anejo tequila that's been aged longer than 1 year (5 I think in the case of the Suprema)!.
"Regular" tequilas like the Tres or Patron mentioned above, while good, just aren't in the same category!. To get that cognac-style, you have to go for an ultra-anejo!.
Other good ones that fall into the same category as the Suprema are:
Don Julio 1942, Don Julio Real, Jose Cuervo de la Familia and Gran Patron (sometimes called Platinum)!.
The Cuervo de la Familia (one of only 2 good tequilas Cuervo makes) is VERY similar to the Suprema and about half the price!.
Alternately, if you have the ability to go to Mexico, I brought back a bottle of Suprema (from Puerto Vallarta) that I paid $150 US dollars for!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Patron, no -e, is excellent!. Bar-none my favorite tequila!. It is easily sippabe!. I'd buy the anejo (sp) which markets for about $100 a 5th!. The silver is excellent for shots and upscale margaritas, but for sippable i'd look into the gold or orange label if possibleWww@FoodAQ@Com

Patrone is really smooth and melts in your mouth!. I dont know the cost of the bottle but it runs about 8-12 a shot depending on the type of bar your at!. GIve it a try and let me know what you think!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
