What are some fun ideas to do for a 1yr old b-day party.?!

Question:

What are some fun ideas to do for a 1yr old b-day party.?

I am having it at the park with a playground, hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, juice, soda, ice cream, cake, & pinata. I just need some fun ideas please.

Answers:
Darling, at age 1, your Precious is still very much a baby.

Sounds like a grand party just as it is. A good hour or so romp on the playground equipment and a nice cookout, capped with a pinata like you've planned is just fine for adults and other children alike.

Rule of thumb: as Precious gets older, let him or her invite 1 guest for every year s/he is - if Precious is 5, then 5 guests. 6=6 guests and so on.

Try this website, it has great ideas for kids birthdays.

How Well Do You Know Baby?: Ask party guests to try to match the pictures and mementos on the wall to specific dates. Do the same with your baby's milestones. Find out, for example, if they know when she took her first step or first started eating solid foods. Ask trivia questions about your baby, such as, "How much did she weigh at birth?" "What's her middle name?" "Who was she named after?" "What time was she born?" and "Who's her doctor?"

Baby's Birthday Time Capsule: Have everyone bring something that represents an important moment or significant relationship in your baby's life, such as a picture of a relative, a poem about her first step, a small toy she no longer plays with or a memory written down on paper. Seal the items in a container. Then set the container in a closet, bury it in the backyard or place it in a safe deposit box?o be opened when your baby is 21!

on-site caricatures as souvenir would be fun

At this stage, the party will be mostly for the older children and adults! Sounds like you've already got a great start. How about some music? Maybe a local band or DJ?
Face painter, clown, games for the kids like pin-the-tail, balloons...have fun and save some cake for me!

For a 1 yr olds party invite all of your friends over. Have a cookout and knock back some drinks. Then just sit the kid in a high chair and give him/her a small cake and let them make a huge mess. Snap some pics for when the kid can actually remember anything. You could ask that your friends make a small donation to put into a college fund for the kid.

That's really all you need. At this age, babies don't really know what's going on. Bring a stroller or a blanket or something because if the baby gets overwhelmed, s/he may dissolve and need a nap or a quiet place. That's my advice. But it sounds like everyone will have fun.

well at this stage the party is more for you and your friends, just give baby one Small cake let him at it and get it all over him take lots of pic and black mail them when their older, all jokes aside make sure every thing is colorfull at that age they like it bright and colorfull. have fun!!!
