Homemade wine + how much alcohol concentration in %?!

Question: Homemade wine + how much alcohol concentration in %!?
How much percent alcohol will homemade wine with bakers yeast have!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It depends on how much sugar is in it!. The more sugar, the higher potential alcohol content!.

If I recall correctly, however, bakers yeast is only comfortable up to about 8% alcohol, then it starts to die!. For higher proofs, you have to use specialty yeasts like montrachet and champagne!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do not, I beg you, make wine with bakers' yeast!. Those strains are bred to produce lots of carbon dioxide and little alcohol!. The taste, to say the least, leaves a lot to be desired!. If there is a local homebrew store nearby, you can pick up a packet of Montrachet or Champagne yeast for a dollar or so!. Much better results!.

Now, if you will excuse me, I'm going to take something for the upset stomach caused by thinking about wine made with bread yeast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the exact percentage will depend on the grapes;how much sugar they contain!. But a red wine will usally be between 12and 14 per cent, whites a little less!.
Most wines that are stronger than that have been fortified with brandy, or have a lot of added sugarsWww@FoodAQ@Com
