Black Forest Cake

Ice Cream Cake (or a baked alaska)

Or how about a cake made from a tower of cupcakes!!!

You can also do plain pound cake (in butter or chocolate) and layer it like a sundae with ice cream and chocolate syrup and whipped cream, sprinkles and nuts (like a make your own piece of cake).... like a cake-bar set up the way a salad bar would be set up.

How about a turlte cake - chocolate with caramel and nuts?

Or RED VELVET CAKE!!!! A Southern favorite and it gets everyone talking because it's blood red (but delicoius!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

maybe an angel food cake, or cheesecake, its really up to you,

Are you making it yourself or are you ordering it?!
A good one is a chocolate cake with turtle filling!
Or a strawberry shortcake!
White cake with strawberry and coolwhip filling!

Good luck! and Happy Birthday!

To celebrate your special day, I'd say go with a favorite, which sounds like German Chocolate!!! You can gussie it up a bit, I suppose, if you want by adding chocolate chips to the mix, or spooning warm caramel sauce over each slice. Bottom line: enjoy!

What about red velvet with white icing then you can have the icing decorated however you want because white is such a neutral color. Red velvet - yummy!

I saw a really fun cake idea - a candy mountain. You bake a cake mix in a large bowl (or you could just use regular cake pans) and then frost it and decorate it with piles and piles of different kinds of candies -- so it's just a giant jumble of wonderfulness. Yummy! Instead of candles, top it with sparklers. (Maybe include one candle so you can blow it out for good luck.)

Another idea - - For a friend's birthday, we bought several cake mixes and baked them in different sized round pans and then stacked them up, like a crazy wedding cake. We decorated it with all kinds of things that he liked (things like plastic Dolphins, because he likes the Miami Dolphins) and little candies. It was a big hit.

You could also bake a couple of cake mix in a sheet pan (rectangular) and then, before you ice it, cut it in half, then cut one half in half, and stack those three squares on top of one another, and decorate them to look like gifts (or, if you're a reader, a stack of books).

Happy 13th birthday! Enjoy your party!

Have whatever your favorite type of cake happens to be. It is your Birthday after all.

You should go to the library and borrow a cake cookbook. They always delicious cakes and you'll find something awsome. If not definetely ice-cream cake. Everyone LOVES ice-cream cake!
