Ideas for a birthday party....?
any ideas of what to do for my 14th birthday? it will be my first boy-girl party.....any ideas would be goood:)

I agree with the first answer ... a Hawaiian Luau would be a lot of fun. And easy too -- you can find all kinds of stuff for this theme at any party store -- leis, coconut-shaped cups, grass skirts, straw hats, inflatable palm trees, etc. You could have a juice bar with exotic tropical (non-alcoholic) drinks, pork shish-kabobs with pineapple, and just really go all out with this one. If you or a relative have a pool and it's warm enough, have it poolside! If you can afford it, hire some performers like hula dancers or fire dancers -- or better yet, have a hula dancer come and give a mini dance lesson to your guests so everyone can get in on the action. And don't forget to"do the limbo."

Have everybody come as their favorite pop star. Or maybe do some type of MTV themed thing. Like maybe a runway for models, male and female, where the honoree of course wins a sash or tiara or something. This way they can dance and mingle, but you can watch them without being watched. Make them think they are grown up, serve their Kool-Aid in neon cups (show up well in black light) or plastic champagne glasses.
Do your own version of American Idol. Buy or rent a karaoki machine and get some people to be judges. Maybe have a prize for the winner. Whatever you decide to do, have fun and Happy Birthday!
