Graduation Party table decorations? Ideas, crafts, themes.?!

Question:

Graduation Party table decorations? Ideas, crafts, themes.?

Ideas for table decorations, party novelties, for a high school graduation party are very much appreciated. Theme ideas like high school colors or mascot.. i'm looking for creative, conversational things.. so the guest will have something to "aawweee" and "ooooo" or start good conversations or trips down memory lanes. Thanx

Answers:
Fake champagne glasses (Party City) fill them with glitter confetti for the table. Maybe get a cutout of a graduation hat, make a little tassle out of tissue paper or yarn. Put each of the attendant's anmes on it and use them as place settings. This will also give you the opportunity to RSVP so you will know how many people to are coming. Attach a small grad pin or pen to the cutout as a little gift they can keep to remember the party. Also scatter some of those disposable camaers around, tell the kids to take random phots, retrieve all of them before they leave, theb you can make a party scrapbook.

I would make a collage of the graduate and put in an area that's very visible by everyone... You could put different memorabilia, photos, old art class work, awards, and etc. as table centerpieces or conversational pieces. I would definitely go with the high color scheme as far as tabe coverings service ware is concerned. Maybe make a cd mix with your graduates favorite songs and class songs too.

Framed newspaper articles of past events involving the classmates?

Imitate the decorations from one of the previous homecoming or prom dinners?

Inspire the kids to head to college by having a greek night?

I think the best thing is to go for the colors of the school as far as decorations go. Try the school colors for all the table wear, maybe school mascot and tinsel figures with ballons for the decor. Also i agree with the lady that mention the fake glasses, theres some really cool plastic glasses you can get in all sorts of styles and colors. It can serve as decor and keepsake, buy them on different color and with a metalic pen write the date of the event and the name of each guess. So you have place setting, keepsake, and decor all in one.
