Well, my brothers wedding was yesterday, so by dinner time we were all too drunk at the reception to worry too much about eating. But I beleive the sober people had barbaque stuff.

Grilled pork roast because it was very nice out, the first corn on the cob of the season, augratin potatoes, and a fresh salad. White wine went well with the meal!

sardines and vanilla wafers

Chicken and a salad

Served with 2 slices of toasted italian bread.
Accompanied by a nice Chablis
Strawberries and King Island double cream for dessert.

The soup is done rustic style ( bigger pieces) and the chicken thigh fillets are sauted in butter and olive oil then cut up and put in the soup along with the "sauce" created by the saute.
I use lemon myrtle and mountain pepper as my herbs. These are native Australian products and are amazing with fish or chicken dishes.
Hey I might only be cooking for one but that doesn't mean I can't eat well LOL. Besides I make enough soup for 3 serves and just reheat.
Infact I'm about to have some soup for lunch, Bon appetit!
