Okay!. There are a few answers above me!.!.!. But, let me simpify it for someone who probably cannot understand how to make a drink from a drink receipe!.!.!.!.
First!.!.!. you're going to need some limes!. The amount you need varies on how many people you're going to have over!. If 5 other girls, 2 limes would be fine!. On a small plate, bump out a small mess of salt!. Enough that covers the width of the cup you're using!.
Step 1: use a completely seporate cup to mix the drink!. Making good margaritas without pouring experience works a whole lot easier with a jigger!. You can get one at Walmart or Target!. Pour 1!.5 oz!. of tequila (the better the grade, the better the taste!. Sauza won't make it taste bad, but Jose is better, and Patron is yummy)!. !.5 oz of Triple Sec (it's an orange flavored liquore!. Then you're going to need to goto your local super market and pick up some Sour Mix, or sometimes called Sweet and Sour Mix!. It's usually a yellow'ish color---use about 4 ounces of that!. Finally, this is optional, give it the slightest place of orange juice!.
Now, mix it up! It's even better if you tumble it into another glass and back again serveral times, until you can feel how cold it is through the glass!. Now, in the glass you're intending on pouring it in, take a lime wedge (which you've already cut)!.!.!. cut the juicy part in the direction that would allow you the wedge it on the rim of the glass!. Once on there, rotate it 360 degreese, making the rim coated with lime juice!. Then hold the glass unside down and put it down on the pile of salt!. Move it around and get as many salt crystals on the glass as possible!. Turn it right side up and pour the drink in!. Now, just finish it off by taking another lime wedge, squeezing it into the drink, and dropping the wedge into the drink!.
Your perfect, average, margarita!.
FOR FROZEN MARGARITAS!.!.!.!.
Just add twice as much twice!. Good way to gauge is by taking the glass you intend on using and filling it up with ice, dumping that into the blender, then another half glass!. Put all the contents and the ice into the blender, and blend away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tequila and a good Margarita mix!. I like Jose Cuervo for every day, but when I have the extra cash, and I want to splurge, Williams and Sonoma makes a fabulous mix with Meyers Lemons and Key Limes!.!.!.sooooooo good!.
I know you said simple, but if you want to make true Margaritas from scratch, you need tequila, triple sec (orange flavored liquor), fresh squeezed lime juice and simple syrup!. You don't really need the triple sec when using a Margarita mix, because most have some orange flavoring added!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well first off I don't spend a lot on Cuevo to make a margarita, I buy the cheaper brands and save that for straight shots with lemon and salt!. I buy Margaritaville or Tortilla, I do use the Cuevo margarita mix though, I use six limes and squeeze them into the pitcher, 4-5 shots of tequila, I also use Grand Marnier; 2 shots, if not you can put in a little OJ or some grenadine!. Drink it frozen or straight in a salt rimmed glass (the way I like em) and garnish with a lime!. MUY BIENWww@FoodAQ@Com
