Does leaving the cap off of a bottle of your typical liquor (vodka, rum) change alcohol % by exposing it to air!
I know a couple of people who think this to be true, but I have never seen any evidence confirming it!. The flavor might be distorted but what about alcohol content!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

That is an really good question!.!.!. I've never thought of it before!.!.!.
Alcohol does have an incredibly fast evaporation rate on its own so why would it evaporate out of the liquor bottle when left open!.!.!. By why to bars put spouts on the bottles it they are going to loose alcohol!?
Because water has one of the slowest evaporation rates and the alcohol (ethanol to be exact) is suspended in the water which prevent the alcohol from evaporating!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
