Is there a another wine that is comparable in taste to red wine? The bold tartness without being so sweet.?!
Answers:
Bold un sweet wine that is not red!? So white!? Viogner or Sauvignon Blanc!. It is hard for whites to be as big reds but Viogener and Sauvignon Blanc!. SB is lighter but can be tart ore than sweet!. You could also look for Chardonnay that is fermented in steel!. Chardonnay is the biggest of the whites but I think they are over oaked so look for steel!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
There are many types of red wine!. What kind have you had!? Some are "softer" than others and less tannic but most are not sweet unless you read the bottle and it says "sweet red wine!." Personally, I avoid those! Start with a merlot then move on to a cabernet blend!.!.!. Our favorite wine at the moment is Liars Dice by Murphy Goode!. You'll smell vanilla or carmel slightly in the aroma (put nose in the glass and sniff) but that's from how the oak barrel was toasted!. It won't taste sweet and try to notice how the the three parts of your tongue get the flavor of the wine!. Some wines are really "forward" and you taste it with the tip, some are in middle meaning they hit the taste buds on the side of your tongue, and others have a "good finish" meaning the taste buds in the back are stimulated!. Wine is really personal and there is no right or wrong when it comes to preferences!. Try a new bottle and have a taste right after you open it, half hour later, then again at an hour!. You'll see how it changes with air hitting it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Beaujolais!. It's made from the Gamay grape!. You'll love it!. Acidic but not overly tannic!. Awesome really!. And it is a red!. Try it!. You won't regret it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
