Question:

What is the best steak to cook with when making steak tacos?

Answers:
Carne Asada. I dont know where in the U.S. you live, but here in the San Fernando Valley, we have carnicerias (spanish meat markets). They have Carne Asada (which everyone is sugesting) however, you can get 'Carne Preparada' aka. Carne Asada...which is a thinly sliced beef steak that has been marinating over night. I know you want beef, as I was a beef fan until I had 'Polido Preparada' which is chicken in the same sauce!

Take a look around in yrou neighborhood, also, check out this website to see if there in one in your neck of the woods! This is where I get the meat. also, the price for ground beef is usually MUCH cheaper and is alot better than found at a Vons or the like.

marinade it possibly 12 hours before cooking if not a couple of hours will do. use plenty or 'erbs and spices and make it full of flavour. cook it slowly as not to just burn all the flavour out. try not to use alot of oil. only a dribble. hope you have a tasty meal. though im only a 13 year old kid, i like to cook for my mother and father, and i like to make steak. hope you enjoy. *god bless*

Flank steak or skirt steak are usually used for tacos. Tenderize and marinate overnight. Don't overcook the meat - cook until rare and then take it off the fire. Cover the meat and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes before slicing.
