Question: Could a Brit plz help!? Pimms and Lemonade!?
Pimm's and Lemonade is supposed to be a great UK summertime drink!.
Now when you guys say "lemonade" what exactly are you referring to!? In the states, it's a non-carbonated sweetened juice of lemons!. I have heard that in the UK, lemonade is actually short for a lemon carbonated soda of some sort!.!.!.!.!.

care to enlighten me!? thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Lemonade in the UK is Sprite, 7 up - sort of vaguely lemon flavoured soda!.
For traditional Pimms and Lemonade - use one part Pimms to 4 parts Lemonade, add some chopped strawberries and cucumber, some chopped oranges (optional), a few sprigs of fresh mint and some ice!. It's a lovely drink and I overindulge in it every year at 2 rowing regattas!. At events such as these in the South East of England, there is always a Pimms tent!.
It should be mixed in a large glass jug/pitcher and then poured into large glasses (around half a pint)!. The alcoholic strength of a half pint of Pimms is comparable to a continental beer!.
The strawberries and fresh mint are very important and the fun bit is digging out the alcohol soaked strawberries at the bottom of the glass!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You're right in what you say!. Lemonade over here is carbonated!. It's just like 7up but with just the lemon flavouring!. Pimms is gorgeous on a hot summers day!.

Tall glass, shot of Pimms, 2 cherries, some chopped cucumber, some crushed ice, add lemonade and another shot of Pimms on top!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its many years since had one!. If I remember correctly there is a Pimms No!.1 and a Pimms no!.2 I am sure that it was Pimms N!. 1 that I had and yes a lovely summertime drink!. Not sure what Pimms No!. 2 is or tastes likeWww@FoodAQ@Com
