Yes, it's great for sauces like mentioned!. A great way to use up old wine!. You can freeze it in ice trays and throw them in a bag for use later!. You can also do that with leftover tomato sauce, chicken broth, etc!.

I have many times put wine in the freezer for a quick chill and forgotten it!. The water in the wine freezes and out pops the cork!.

Yes you can freeze it, but would not recomend drinking it after that, you can however use it to flavor sauces!. I freeze my left over wine in ice cube trains and pop out as much as I need!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You shouldn't put wine in the freezer!. It changes its acidity resulting in a funky taste!. If you need to chill a bottle fast put it in water and ice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
cooks sometimes freeze wine in small quantities saves opening a bottle when a recipie only requires a small amount

Indeed it can! I have popped a bottle in the freezer many a time to make it really cold and forgotten about it!. Problem is, once frozen it ruins the flavour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes it can!. Spirits like Gin freeze around minus 25 degrees Celcius!. Wine freezes much more easily!. You might even get the alcohol in it separating out!Www@FoodAQ@Com
