Happy New Year!
(wow, you plan ahead)

My suggestion:

Moscato d'Asti

Italy's Moscato d'Asti is one of the world's great wine styles!. It is a low-alohol (so you can last all night), semi-sparkling wine with about half the carbonation of a typical sparkling wine, and is released very soon after the vintage to preserve its uniquely fresh character!.
It is extremely aromatic, with a famously complex perfume, and generally has a mild level of sweetness counterbalanced by vibrant acidity!.

Made in the Piedmont region from Moscato Bianco these wines are remarkably fruity and fragrant and just sweet enough that some consider them a lovely wine as either an aperitif or a dessert wine!. Delicate, light on the palate and with just the hint of musky aromas, some consider Moscato d'Asti as the perfect wine with breakfast ( or New Years Eve!)!.

Moscato d'Asti is always best consumed within two years of the vintage on the label!.

In a phrase, Moscato d'Asti is a wine intended for pure and simple pleasure!.

Many "nicer "grocery stores carry Moscato D'Asti or can special-order it for you, and your local wine shop can definetely get it for you!.
