First and foremost, advertising plays a huge role in all choices of American consumers!. Beers like Budweiser, Coor's Light, etc!. go to great lengths to carve an image for themselves that consumers identify themselves with!. This coupled with the tendency of American consumers to gravitate towards perceived value leads to a lot of pretty lame beer consumption!.
Although Americans definitely consume a ton of substandard beer,a sweeping comment that all Americans like poor quality beer is pretty naive!. That's like saying Brits only like bland food!. There are a ton of high quality beers made and consumed in the US!. In fact, six of the top ten on the website provided are made in the US!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't judge us part one!.!.!. The top selling beers in Europe last year was American Budweiser and the top selling in Australia (Tooheys) is garbage as well!. Besides!.!.!. the bad ones are all based on Germany's recipe anyway!.

I drink all sorts of beer from Keystone to Killians, from Pilsner to Porter!. Every beer has it's place!.
Plus, the US in general has nice weather, unlike most of Europe, so trying to have 8 stouts during a day at the beach (where you don't need an overcoat) really isn't that appealing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I guess it's the same reason Europeans like their alcoholic beverages insanely weak!. Pourers on bottles that restrict overpouring!. And that not one bartender understood what a "double" was!.
