Answers:
Sake is a beer, not a wine, but people are confused, as it hovers around 16%-20% alcohol (beer is 5% - 7%)!.

You are to drink it out of small cups (about an ounce) and can either serve it chilled (about 7 C) or warmed (Not HOT, about 35 C)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sake is not beer or wine, it's sake!. The process used to make sake is unique to sake!.

Sake is generally drank in small servings of around 1-4 ounces at a time!. If you're interested in buying a proper sake set you'll get a main vessel for the bulk of the sake that is warmed in a water bath and then you'll get several little shot glasses!. If you don't want to buy a sake set then your bottle can be warmed in a pot of warm water!. Keep in mind the key word here is WARM, not HOT!. If you don't want to bother with that then that's fine also!. Most sake is actually better served chilled, warming the sake is more or less an artifact of tradition these days!.

I like sake so I would say it's good but I can concede to the fact that it isn't for everybody!. Sake is wine-like in strength but once again to reiterate sake is not beer or wine!.

As somebody who speaks Japanese I also feel it is my duty to let you know that it is SA-KAY, not SA-KEE as most English speakers default to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Look up your brand on the Internet or back of the bottle!. It will tell you if the sake should and or can be drunk at room temp, cold, or warm!.

Or of course ask your friend !.!. and /or offer to share it!

I like Sake, but it took a few tries on different occasions until I finally said !.!. hum this is good!.!.!. and I like the sake that is designed to be drunk cold better than warm!.

Sake !.!. rice wine !.!. varies from about 6% to 15% alcohol!. So it is strong enough to be careful about, but not truly awe inspiring as is sometimes alluded to!.

Some Japanese use the word Sake for all alcohol !.!. this then would include shochu which looks like sake and taste much like it (but with a bit of a bite) and is up at 25% or more!.

The fun Sake bottles and cups are interesting but not at all necessary!.

Sake, is it made in US or in Japan where it originated!? I like sake with a Japanese meal, it is drunk warmed and served from a small porcelain decanter, into small sake cups!. It can be warmed in the micro -wave for 15-20 seconds, do not heat too high!. You sip it slowly!. It is about the same alcoholic content as a good wine!. Heating it has a quicker effect of feeling the alcohol in your system, than straight from a cold room!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's rice wine and you have to warm it a little!. It should have a temperature on the bottle!. Not something you would drink ten glasses of!. A couple!. Three if you really like it but that would be it, at least for me!. Yes you can nuke it use a ceramic type cup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Drink it warmed a little!. also, I know its served in a shot glass size cup, but don't down it like a shot!. I down two cups like shots, and my ears rang for about 30 minutes!. It's very strong!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is strong, like wine!. You drink sake straight, rather than with a mixer, and it is generally heated first, but not as hot as tea or coffee!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
