I was at a fancy event last night and they were auctioning off wine. one bottle went for $450!!! what?!?!?!
People at my table were poking fun at me because I was completely flabbergasted!. I was trying to think of a social situation I might be in where i could use such a thing but i could not think of one!.

I've waited talbes at a resturant in an airport where guys siting by themselves would order bottles of wine in the 200 - 300 dollar range!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. they just drink it!.
they are live in a world where money is very insignificant since they 1 either have WAY too much of it or 2 the company they work for is willing to take care of them!. sometimes these companies give them a par-diem !. this is money they can spend on food drink and entertainment per day!. sometimes they same up the "allowance" and blow it all at once on a bottle of wine they'd never otherwise have a chance to enjoy!.
usually the wines priced around there are 1 either very rare, or 2 old and aged = smooth!.!.!. the flavors blend together to make a rounder, solider flavor them many distint flavors!.
remember though, wine doesn't HAVE to be expensive to be good!. price is a high indicator on how much the company holds at once (called overhead) compared to the bills they have to pay to stay running!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You enjoy it, you bask in the $450 that's not a VERY expensive bottle, i mean it is but there are MUCH MUCH more expensive wine's out there!. A wine like that, at least for me, would be used to celebrate a wedding, birth of a baby, graduation from college!. ETC!., $450 is miniscule to a real big event!.

You have to understand that there are many factors as to why a bottle of wine is expensive!. One of the main reasons why is the age of the wine but also the name!. A $450 bottle of wine is meant to be opened on a special occasion, let it breath first and then drink it slowly and savor its taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
That's not even that much, I was just reading a Maxim (GREAT MAG) and they have a new beer out that goes for 450 a bottle, 450 for a bottle of beer!!! N e ways, to answer your question, you drink it, get really drunk, then wake up with the worst wine hangover anyone has ever had!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well if it was for charity it might have justified the spending!. It is also possible that the person that bought it collects wines!. Or that they just plan on saving it for a special occasion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
