What can we do with a big bottle of absinthe?!
Out of curiosity, we bought a liter bottle of Kubler, a Swiss absinthe!. I'm not interested in the sugar/water ritual!. I'm trying to drink it neat and although I enjoy black licorice, my husband is laughing at the faces I'm making!. It's got a really stong flavor!. Are there other ways to enjoy it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

As disinterested in the ritual as you may be, there's a reason why people drink it that way!. It's not only traditional, it makes drinking it more tolerable!. But if you really can't stand doing that for whatever reason, try using it just like you would any other liquor!. It can be mixed with a huge array of other beverages and alcohol, try some of these recipies
ABSINTHE BOLLYSIDE
1 part of Absinthe Original
1/2 part of Jack Daniels
1/2 of gin
1/4 of Archers Peach Schnapps
1 part of Red Bull
Drop of cranberry juice!.
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into ice filled collins glass!.

HALLOWEEN SLASH
1/2 shot of lemon liqueur
3 shots of cranberry juice
1/2 shot of peach vodka
1 shot of Absinthe Original
1/3 shot of orange juice
Pour carefully into a cocktail glass half filled with ice!.
HEMINGWAY
1 shot Absinthe Original
champagne
Pour absinthe into flute glass over ice!. Top up with champagne!.
CATHERINE ZETA-JONES
1 shot Creme de Mure
1 shot Absolut Mandrin
1 shot champagne
1 shot Absinthe Original
Pour carefully into a cocktail glass half filled with ice!.
