I send out invites via Evite, fancy them up a bit, and add some humor for flavor!. I ask people to bring a tea to share, a tea-munchie (cookies or crackers preferably), and a favorite mug!.
Then I throw on some laid-back, cool music, throw open the windows (if it's summer) or light the fire in the fireplace (if it's winter, put some coffee-table books on the table in the middle of a big circle of comfy chairs/beanbags/pillows, and we chat!. It's great!
I tend to schedule mine for early afternoons!. That way people can sleep in, and it's a nice break before evening plans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
