What is the best meal for this wine?!
My girlfriend's parents are coming over for the first time and they are very knowledgeable in regards to wine!. That being said, I don't want to look like an idiot by asking them about recommending a meal!. My favorite all time wine is Night Train Express made by E&J Gallo Winery in Modesto, California and I plan to serve that for dinner!. The problem is whether I should serve red meat, fish, or poultry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If they know a lot about wine, I would forgo that bottle, with its 17!.5% alcohol content, it is not meant to be a dinner wine!. Your best bet, is to get a nice bottle of Pinot Noir and serve a nice steak!. If you prefer white wine, get a nice bottle of white zinfandel and serve a salmon or a tuna!. also, while some cheap wines do indeed have a cork, if your wine doesn't have a cork, it definitely isn't very high quality!.
also, I can't tell if the wine you have is red or white, but red wine is served room temp!. and white wine is served chilled!. also be sure to have the correct type of glass, red wine is served in a wine glass that has a wider more rounded glass, while white wine glasses are taller and more slender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, seriously - good wine is wine you like - easy as that :)
If they know a lot about wine, cover the label, and ask if they can guess the country, and the area!.
(No worries: noone - NOONE!! - can tell the chateau and vintage, unless they made the wine themselves !.!.)
I think you should serve Traditional American food - maybe grilled steaks, baked potatoes w!. the works, grilled vegetables, a garden salad, bread and (herbed)butter!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well it will probably be the last time too!. Night Train is low end fortified "street wine" not a real "go with a meal wine"!. Favoured by vagrants as a quick way to get drunk!.
Get some white fish and dry white wine!. Stay away from wooded Chardonnays and sweet wines!.
White lachryma christi is the dog's - but you will have to search for it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It might help if you enlightened us as to the actual grape variety of the wine!. That should be listed on the bottle!. Seeing as not everyone is American and familiar with the wine makers and the wine's name!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Is this for real!? You can't serve Night Train to anyone knowledgable about wine!. It would be insulting!.
If you must serve Night Train, I'd consider serving Road Kill Stew!. It sends exactly the same message!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
