Making wine from concentrated juice??!
My uncle makes wine from juice concentrate (other than grape)!. Does anyone know of any recipes other than grape juice!. I know grape juice has it's own sugar!. So other fruit juices that don't have any, how much sugar would I add or water!. I guess you do need water being that sugar and other additives need to be disolved in water!. I'd ask him but he's always busy and everytime I call him I have a question about wine and it seems kind of rude!. lol!. Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

As for how much sugar to add, it would be a good idea to pick up a hydrometer from a brew store, that way you can measure the initial sugar content and specific gravity!. That will make it so you know what the alcohol percentage will be on your wine and residual sugar content once it is done fermenting!. That will really help you fine tune your recipes and take out a lot of the guess work!. The type of yeast you're using will also affect the alcohol percentage and residual sugar content!. I know the Red Star Premier Cuvee and Champagne yeasts have decent alcohol tolerance and make a dry wine, where the Red Star Cotes de Blancs makes a sweeter wine!.
When using juice and concentrates, make sure that it doesn't contain any preservatives, that will be bad for the yeast when trying to ferment it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
