My first drink! Super-girly, or super-manly?!
I'm turning 19 next month -- the legal age to consume alcohol in my province -- and I plan on having a grand total of one alcoholic beverage that night!. I want it to be something either silly and girly or macho and manly!. Anything goes except for beer! Suggestions for either would be great!Www@FoodAQ@Com

A cosmopolitian is a popular drink but by no means girls, it is quite strong!.
go with an Appletini, or Choclatini, or something very sweet for a girly drink!.
If you want a reall women/mans drink!.
order a vodka martini (specify which brand), straight up,
so you can say 'Grey Goose martini, straight up" and sound like you know what your talking about!.
if you like olives, ask for it 'Dirty" ' Dirty Grey Goose martini, straight up"
-Dirty martinis have additional olive juice added into it!.-
If you hate olives, say 'Grey Goose martini, straight up with a twist"
they will give you a lemon twist on top, instead of traditional 3 olives on a stick!.
there are a wide number of drink out there though!.
I would find a nice bartender, tell them you dont know what you like, say its your birthday, and ask for 3-7 samples of drinks!. if their not to busy they should do it!.
--Whatever you do, if the bartender ask you that brand of the alchohol, do not say House, or well!. Only poor scmucks drink house brands!. (if the house brand is a good brand, Absolut Vodka or above, Suaza gold Tequila or above, Tanquery Gin or above, Jack Daniels bourbon or above, dewars scotch or above!. Actually, I would go for a simple drink like red wine, or a martini or a cosmopolitan!. That'll help you figure out what kinds of alcohol appeal to you!. A girly drink with lots of mixers will have too many flavors to tell what you're actually drinking!. In addition, asking for a martini or cosmo will make you look more sophisticated, and less like "Wheeee! Look at me, I'm old enough to drink!"
