Why did i lose my taste for alcohol?!
me and my friend got drunk as **** and i went home and puked my guts out and passed out in my bathroom!. well after that even if i thought about alcohol it made me sick to my stomach!. so i go and take a swig of my friends wiskey and it was the most rancid tasting thing ever!. I used to be able to take down half that bottle but now i cant even smell it with out getting sick!.

The subconscious part of your brain responsible for survival has a good memory, which evolved to keep humans alive!. The theory goes that the brains of early humans ancestors developed mechanisms to warn them if they began to eat food which they had previously eaten and got sick from!. This mechanism sounds redundant, but you must understand at this time it is thought that these "people" had no concept of time let alone what they ate last week!.!.!. When you got super sick off from alcohol your brain made a note of it and classified it as poisonous!. So the next time when you tried to drink the whisky your taste buds relaid the presence of alcohol to the brain which in turn told your body to do what ever it took to keep the stuff from making it to your stomach, thus the compulsion to vomit!. So you see it is really an ancient survival method, which for the most part has allowed us to make it this far!. I had a similar experience on my 21st birthday with gin, I went to a club and got trashed on cheap stuff!. It took me a long time to get used to gin again!. Which proves you too will be able to drink again, but you should ease your self back into it, reprogram your brain to not think of it as toxic, make your drinks weaker!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
same thing happened to me! the only thing i can drink now is beer!.
i got trashed over a LOT of long island iced teas a couple of times(they have rum, tequila, triple sec, vodka and something else!.!.!.!.(so i cant drink ANY of those!))
but my friends still love the taste of vodka, so they drink it so fast and i hav to force it (but very slowly) and they are drunk faster than me! it sucks!

Old age!! I used to be renouned for my abilities to drink a pile of booze, however, on an ordinary night if i have more than 6 pints of cider I need to go home to bed, anymore than 8 pints and I need help getting home, it is your bodies way of not letting you kill yourself off too young!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I ended up with alcohol poisoning on Jack Daniels, and for years I couldnt smell whisky without being sick!.
