By co-incidence I friends opened an old Taittinger last night and it was the color you described!.
If your wine had bubbles then it is not oxidised as some others are suggesting!.
Champagne gets darker in color as it ages!. Starts off almost paper white and goes through yellow to the color you describe!. There's nothing wrong, all white wines get darker with age (as all red wines get lighter with age)!.
As to sour!.!.!.!. That is a matter of taste!. Is it sourer than other Taittinger Champagne; how often do you drink Brut Champagne!?!?
Basically, unless you are an fan of old Champagne it is best not to keep them too long!. One big problem is you cannot tell how old a bottle is with most of the Champagnes because they are NV (non-vintage) !. Champagne is ready for drinking on release; they do not need aging further (although personally I like old Champagne and think they need keeping a minumum of 6 months from purchase)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Probably extremely vinegary, if that word exists!.
It's more than likely not ok!. Champagnes are meant to be yellowish, as you put it, or pinkish for rosee's!.
If it came out yellowish brown, it means the conditions it was kept in were terrible!. The wine went bad over the years, resulting in the bad taste and odd color!.
Don't drink it if you haven't already!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, it's completely oxidized, no good!.
You should not keep Champagne!. It is ready to drink when you purchase it, and it can go downhill fast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
