Teenage or college drinking...?!

Question: Teenage or college drinking!.!.!.!?
Ok, no preaching here please!. My friends and I got into an argument the other day about whether it is better to start drinking in high school as a teen or college when your 20 or 21 (as far as addiction risk)
Obviously its not legal to drink under 21, I know that but a lot of people do it!. Not saying I'm going to!.!.!. esp because I think the risk for becoming alcoholic is greater if you start when you are a teen vs a young adult!. Some of my friends think that if you wait, you are more likely to overdo it when you eventually do drink!.!.!. What do YOU all think!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
studies show that teens who drink in their teen years, like before 16 or something, have a 30-40% higher chance to become alcoholics when theyre older!.
that is, if they drink or party a lot!.

i think if you drink every now and then but not over do it when you're younger, you'll know how to handle it when you're older and of legal age!. i'm 15 btw!. and i drink maybe once a month, sometimes two or three times a month!. i have a 4!.0gpa in school and i read a lot!. i'm one year ahead of where i should be in school!. (subject wise) i get high maybe once a week!. and this has been going on for quite some time!.
HONESTLY, it depends on the user and his/her self control!.

&by drink a few times a month, i mean get drunk/wasted!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's obviously moral to wait till the legal drinking age, but I think it's ok if you have a few with your friends late into your high school years and college!. I think it's all part of your "teenager experience"!. As bad as that sounds, I think it just is part of the American teen culture!. Idk, you can be smart and try to get out of typical stupidity!. I regret that I started drinking like my junior year of high school and it kinda became a necessity when I hang out with a big group of people!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

im not encouraging you or anything but i started drinking when i was 16 (im 18 now) about twice a month and ive had alot of my most memorable and fun times in high school involve drinking ,your only in high school once!.!.!.!.just be careful, dont overdo it, dont drive etc etc!.!.!.!.if you start drinking by yourself, especially by yourself on weekdays , then your an alcoholic!. but i dont really see anything wrong with drinking with friends occasionallyWww@FoodAQ@Com

The only reason drinking isnt allowed under 21 is because that is when your brain is supposed to be developed!.!. I have drank underage!.!. and you are going to overdo it no matter how old you are if you want toWww@FoodAQ@Com

I guess drinking before your an adult could make it more likely to become an alcoholic!. It depends on the individual really!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wait until you are of legal age!. Nothing is worst than being caught being legally drunk and underage!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I drank for the first time when I was 15!. Never drinking again!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

starting in teens, could jst lead to a habit, thus leading to an addiction!. on the other hand starting in 21st, would lead to a feeling of "missing out" factor, which can lead to regular drinking for a long time to come!. i think its fairly stupid to start drinking at 21st( i mean drinking to the point of throwing up or feeling sick, or losing one's self), only because if you have come so far in life with out drinking(like getting over the peer pressure, and other issues), minimizes the risk of any alcoholic abuse or addiction!. im saying this because alcohol can lead to alot of problems in the future, i mean sure it can help you get laid in college, or make it more fun and stupid, what ever, but it can lead to so many issues which harm others around you, and mostly yourself!.

so i guess both can lead to an addiction, it all depends on the personality!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
