What wine should I have with sushi?!

Question: What wine should I have with sushi!?
This is where I'm going for dinner tomorrow!. I'm a new-comer to wine and want to know the best wine to go with sushi!

If it makes a difference, what I usually get is unagi (eel) and and some kind of eel or crab based sushi roll!.

Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you want to skip the obvious sake and delve into the more traditional wines, go with a Riesling, Gewurztraminer or Pinot Noir!. The sweetness found in many Rieslings and Gewurztraminer can really balance out the heat of wasabi!.

All three will have enough acidity to match up with whatever fish you choose!.

also, sparkling wine would be a great choice for a special treat!. Sparklers are severely underrated, I feel, for their ability to match up with food!.

When you get to the restaurant, look at the wine list!. Most restaurateurs put in the time to pick wines that pair well with their menus!. Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

warm saki is the best with sushi!. it goes down easy and cleans the palate, so the next piece of sushi you eat tastes as it was the first!. saki is not an acquired taste!. sip it, don't chug it and cherish the taste!. after a few sips, you will start to appreciate the taste of sake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

none just get yourself a 18 pack of lager beeer and skip the raw fish, sorry thats what i would do! otherwise just get the sake and skip the raw fis, oooo you know what i mean!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sake (a rice wine served hot) is most common, but not everyone likes it!. You should for a sweet white wine or plum wine otherwise!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like plum wine with sushi, though sometimes it's *really* sweet!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
