So decided to just have a nice salad, spaghetti, and italian bread for my husbands birthday dinner!.!. I thought its his birthday so a glass of wine wont hurt!. He is real strict about not drinking on work nights, but like i said just a glass wont hurt!. So white or red wine would be good with spaghetti!? idk about wines :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
What sauce is on the spaghetti!? If it is a tomato based one, especially bolognese, definitely red!. Pour a little of the wine into the sauce as it is cooking and they will complement each other even more!.
If you have a cream based sauce on the spaghetti, go with a nice chilled dry white!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

absolutley red!. but then you must choose which type of red wine!. merlot is the most popular choice, but cabernet is very nice!. Pinot Noir is sweeter than the 2 above so that would be my choice!. Always serve room temp!.!. and open the bottle 10 or 15 minutes or so to let the wine 'breathe'Www@FoodAQ@Com

The traditional wine is Chianti, but I don't care for it, I like a wine that isn't too dry, and a red is generally appropriate for spaghetti!. I would suggest a Merlot or perhaps a Pinot Noir!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

defintely red with spaghetti dinner: from another Yahoo Answer: http://answers!.yahoo!.com/question/index!?!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say red wine, like an italian tuscany!. I like Monte Antico for that sort of meal!. Look into getting an italian wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would choose a nice full bodied red wine - especially if you are serving the spaghetti with a meat sauce!! :) Have fun with it!Www@FoodAQ@Com
